Colorful Fresh Produce

What if switching how you buy your veg could help grow a farm?

What if buying your veg could help grow a farm?

Introducing FTMicroFarm Share+

Our new CSA Farm Share with a small beginning and a rather big ambition.

Following a recent horticulture trip, Nina has been inspired to expand what we grow here at FTMicroFarm and has teamed up with our wonderful friends at The Vale Grocer to make it possible.

The idea is simple: we share what we can grow, and the Share+ fills in the gaps.

Grown in St Asaph, Denbighshire. Topped up carefully.

At the heart of every Share+ is produce grown right here at FTMicroFarm.

Nina then tops up each Share with carefully selected seasonal veg from other local farms and The Vale Grocer's trusted suppliers.

It means we don't have to pretend we can grow absolutely everything, all year round. We can concentrate on what grows best here at the farm — and you still get a great selection of fresh, seasonal veg. That's the + in Share+.

So, what's in a Share+?

That's the nice bit — it changes. Share+ follows the farm and the seasons, so no two parts of the year will look quite the same. Expect our own vegetables and microgreens alongside carefully selected produce sourced with the help of The Vale Grocer.

Some weeks we'll have lots coming out of the ground here. At other times we'll need a little more help from other growers.

That's farming — and we think that's something worth celebrating rather than hiding.

Choose how you'd like to join

You can choose a Weekly Share+, or one of our Fortnightly Share+ options, delivered every other Tuesday.

Choose the month or months you'd like to join, pick the frequency that works for you, and we'll take care of the rest.

Why are we doing it?

Because Nina wants to grow more.  Not just more vegetables — more of the business.

Share+ gives her the opportunity to take responsibility for her own growing, put the customer service skills she's developing through her Cambrian Training apprenticeship to very good use, and gradually increase how much of every Share we can grow ourselves here at FTMicroFarm.

We're deliberately starting small.

This first pilot has a limited number of memberships because we'd rather build something brilliant with a small group of people than try to make it enormous on day one.

And that's where you come in.

When you join Share+, you're doing more than buying some veg. You're connecting a young grower with her community, giving her the opportunity to build something of her own, and helping provide the funds to invest in the crops that come next.

If it works, she can grow it. 🌱
