The Wales Food and Drink Awards is happening next month—on the 22nd of May at Venue Cymru in Llandudno!Â
It’s more than just a glittering evening of great food and even better company — it’s a moment to celebrate the hard work, creativity, and resilience of the food and drink producers who make Wales proud.

We’re beyond proud to share that Fresh and Tasty Microgreens has been named a finalist in the Business Resilience Award category — sponsored by Shirgar Welsh Butter.
This award means a lot. It recognises businesses that have faced challenging times head-on, finding strength through innovation, adaptability, and sheer determination. It shines a light on those who’ve not only weathered the storms, but grown stronger because of it. After everything we’ve overcome recently, this nomination feels especially meaningful.
And just look at who we’re up alongside—we’re still pinching ourselves! The finalists for the Business Resilience Award are:
To be named in the same category as these exceptional Welsh businesses is nothing short of surreal. These are producers we look up to—true examples of quality, consistency, and innovation. From the creativity and care behind every Cradoc’s cracker, to the time-honoured craft at Henllan Bakery, and the rich farming heritage of Dolwen—a family we’ve been thinking of often recently, in awe of their immense strength and determination. To be in their company is something we’ll always treasure. Just making it on this list is already a huge win for us.
The Wales Food and Drink Awards sees hundreds of Welsh producers and suppliers from every corner of Wales come together each year to celebrate the achievements of the businesses and individuals who make this industry what it is today. Now in its fourth year, this prestigious event is attended by more than 400 guests, including leaders and pioneers helping drive growth within the Welsh economy.
Supported by Castell Howell as headline sponsor, the awards spotlight the diversity of our sector, while showcasing the businesses that are innovating, scaling up, creating employment, and inspiring others.
The black-tie evening kicks off at 6.30pm with a networking drinks reception, followed by dinner and the awards ceremony itself. It’s an unmissable opportunity to shout about your business, surrounded by a room full of inspiring people, exceptional producers, and a shared passion for Welsh food.
A heartfelt thank you to Liz Brookes and Sian Lloyd, co-founders of the Wales Food and Drink Awards, for creating such an uplifting platform for Welsh producers.
We can’t wait for this unforgettable evening.
Let the countdown to Venue Cymru begin! 🕺💃
